Friday 24th of April

Today we are calling out to the blogger in you! Look at the plan for today and find out what you will be writing about. Don’t forget to engage with as many tasks as you can, while making time to be active and/or to relax.
At 2pm the Milton Magical Unicorns will be trialling Googlemeet in preparation for next week. Instructions on how to join the video calls were posted on the general school blog and I will be sharing them here today as well, but if you have any questions please do get in touch through Google classroom or by email. I look forward to seeing you!

Thursday 23rd of April

We have a challenge this morning: how many words can you unscramble and spell correctly? We also look forward to hearing what birds our young zoologists are seeing, in their gardens or during their walk. Share it with us today! Make sure you also start exploring the topic grid that was posted yesterday on the school’s general blog. Lots of fun activities to keep you busy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Wednesday 22nd April

We had some lovely work produced by P4/5 yesterday and we are hoping that many of you are managing to spend time in your gardens. The weather has been so fantastic that even sitting on a doorstep with a good book is a treat! Amongst other things that we have planned for you today you are going on a bird scavenger hunt ๐Ÿ˜Š A bird spotter sheet is available below. You can print it, look at it before you leave so you know which birds to look for or you can take a camera or a notebook with you to record some details of the birds you see. This will make it easier for you to determine the species (name of the bird). I will be sharing mine too! Good luck zoologists ๐Ÿ˜‰

P4/5 art

Today we were looking at how to draw an astronaut. What fantastic art P4/5 pupils have produced! Rio chose to use his Chromebook for this task and he also coloured in a picture for his granny. A kind, lovely gesture and full of meaning! Can you guess what picture it is? Kaci kept her fantastic drawing realistic, with a black and white astronaut, and colour on other elements. Khalea’s lovely drawing incorporated three different types of celestial bodies: a planet, a star (the sun) and an asteroid (made of rock). Very educational!

Tuesday 21st of April

It’s another sunny day! Make the most of this fantastic weather. Don’t forget that you are always learning when you are active or interacting with others: you are learning how to stay fit and healthy, you are learning about the world around you, you are developing your life skills, etc. Can you give examples of situations when this learning might be happening? Can you think of other things you are learning at home, every day? Post a comment.

Monday 20th of April

Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a lovely weekend. We look forward to seeing how you get on with your learning tasks today, but mostly we hope you enjoy them.

Please don’t forget to register. If you have difficulty accessing Google Classroom you can comment on the website to let us know you are here.

Our Easter Holidays

“My Easter holiday

In my Easter holiday I was going on the trampoline and helping my mum grow some vegetables, we filled some pots with compost, that made my back ache. We put some strawberry, carrot and lettuce seeds in the pots. I got two Easter eggs and I’ve only eaten one. We went for a walk most days and I was on my bike. And I went on my tablet to play my games.” by Noah

“My Easter.
In the Easter holidays I got four chickens they are called Lucy, Agatha, Edith, and Miss Chooky. Lucy is the smallest chicken and she is a Silkie. She is Black .Agatha is one of the biggest and She is a Rhode island Red. Edith is a blue Maran and she is a grey colour and lastly there is Miss Chooky who is black and white and is also the bossy hen and doesn’t like to be picked up. We get eggs from the chickens and they mostly lay the eggs in the afternoon .We get two eggs a day.
I have been playing in the garden on the swing and slide. We have taken the dogs for lots of walks. I have done baking with my mum and brother. I have also been playing on my Nintendo and finished my Mario maker game.” From John.

“hi i would like to share some of the things i have done in the easter hollidays with you. first we started of with something sad as my african grey parrot murphy died, we were all verry sad. shaun dug a grave in our front garden for him and when he was doing that we put him in a nice black box with some blue silk for him to lay on. when we burried him we also put in one of his toys. once he was burried we painted a stone in glittery paint with his name on and also put a planted pot with solar lights on top. we decided to plant daffodills as when they flower each year we know thats the time of year murphy died.

as were not allowed to play out with our friends my mum and shaun have been taking us out for a walk every night after dinner, it also means that jeff our rottweiler is getting good excercise, he likes to play in the river with us and always splashes us with water, my sister zara likes watching us do this.

my mum and shaun decorated mine and siennas room its now grey on three walls and the main wall is glittery pink paper, it looks so much better, i love it.

me and my sisters got lots of eggs although i dont like chocolate very much. and my dad took our trampoline from my grannys to my house to mine as were not there very often and when we are it doesnt get used so we now have a trampoline in our front and back garden my mum hopes this will stop me and sienna fighting haha.

lastly with us having to stay in more mum has the house spotless and even my room is spotless ๐Ÿ˜€

i actually cant wait to come back to school and gymnastics

love courtney :p”
