Thursday 16th of April

What a great day P4/5 had yesterday! Lots of work and learning done😊 Hopefully you’ll all enjoy today’s tasks, but don’t forget: you must make sure you get your allowed exercise outside (once a day and with members of your family only) especially if it’s a sunny day like yesterday. This is really important for our physical and mental health!

Class Stars

I am delighted that so many of you have written about your holidays, and did a fantastic job of it too! I will look through all the posts and send you individual feedback as soon as I can.
In the meantime, today’s CLASS STARS for time spent on Sumdog are:
Spelling – Rio with 1h18, followed by Noah with 28 minutes;
Grammar – Noah with 40 minutes, followed by Rio with 32 minutes;
Maths – Rio with 52 minutes, followed by Noah with 47 minutes.
John, Noah, Khalea, Courtney and Kaci also deserve a special mention for great writing about the holidays. John handed in his book review and photos of a yummy Easter cheesecake, and John and Noah are sharing delightful photos of their pets with us. Hmmm… maybe a pet themed activity is due?

All your lovely work and fantastic efforts will be up on our blog so I would encourage you all to access it every so often, show it to mums and dads and be proud of yourselves! Until tomorrow 😊

Wednesday 15th of April

Good morning boys and girls! It looks like today might be a brighter day here in Cromarty. How’s the weather where you are?

Open your daily timetable and get ready to start. Remember that you are ‘in school’, even if we can’t sit together just yet, and you have to take responsibility for your learning. This is a great opportunity to show mums, dads, grandparents, teachers and other adults who care about you how committed you are to learn and grow. Let’s get to work then!

Tuesday 14th of April 2020

Welcome back P4/5! We hope you had a fantastic holiday, relaxing, enjoying the company of family and having fun. We’ll have an easy start to Term 4, with a routine that you are familiar with, similar to the week before the holiday. Make sure you engage with all activities and post comments to show the learning you have done each day.

…and don’t forget to register. 😊

Newsround

Here is a summary of some of the news articles P4/5 found more interesting:

“1. I found the article called Corona Virus: these pictures are show how people are smashing not going out. I found this interesting because the famous places are completely deserted. Trafalgar Square is normally full of lots of people but now nobody is there. The new York subway has cut its rounds by 25% that’s a quarter. Shopping centres have been shut down and the only shops open are food shops and medicine shops but you should only do it once a day but try to do it once a week instead to help.

2. Butterfly’s are on the come back. It’s the highest they have been in more than 20years. The weather helps the butterfly grow when the weather is right. The Butterfly’s have lots of different colours.” by John

“On Newsround I found out that Nintendo were giving 9500 facemasks to medical people.” by Noah

Enjoying the weather!

Isn’t it so lovely to see Noah and his family enjoying their daily exercise outdoors yesterday? And what glorious weather they had for it 😊 Looking at the smile on their faces I think they loved it; what do you think? We have gorgeous weather again today! As part of your Health and Wellbeing, make sure you go out to enjoy it with a member of your family… and please share your photos with us.

Friday 27th of March

And just like that we are on the last day of school before the Easter holidays! Well done to everybody who has been working hard this week to keep learning despite all the obstacles. You have shown great resilience, determination and an admirable positive attitude. You made your teacher proud! Here’s the timetable for today. Don’t forget that many of these sites will also be available to you during the holiday.

Don’t forget!

Reading: Please make sure that by 2.30pm tomorrow, Friday 27th of March, you have all chosen a free book to read from Get Epic! and have shared the titled and author with the class. This could be your holiday book!

Health and Wellbeing: If you managed to get outside today, for your allowed daily exercise and to enjoy some of the lovely sun we got, please do share with the class what you did… or, better still, send us a photo if you have one!
