You are starting your day with Moana and then Peace Out is back with ‘Time Out’: enjoy and relax! We have some fun Time games waiting for you at Education City, and we are looking forward to see how you got on at the end of the day. Work hard, but don’t forget to have some time away from the screen: take on our Health & Wellbeing challenges. Well-done Rio, you are the first P4/5 to send proof of your 5Km/week!

Wednesday 17th of June

We have a busy morning with “Wake Up and Shake” and Googlemeets! Later on you can find out on the Children’s Parliament first edition of the Corona Times Journal what other children just like you are feeling and experiencing with all that is happening around us. And don’t forget our SECRET MISSION! Shhhhhh…

Tuesday 16th of June

If you haven’t done it yet, read our SECRET MISSION plan and go for it… discreetly! There aren’t many photos of P4/5 taking on Milton Primary’s Health Challenges. They are fun and good for your physical and mental Health and Wellbeing, so please do them and send us photos or short video clips. If you need ideas, have a look at the school’s website; there are some fantastic photos already!

Tuesday 9th of June

It looks like another nice day outside my window 😊 Yesterday we had some lovely paragraphs about what you would like to do when life goes back to ‘normal’. If you haven’t yet, please send yours today (remember, the challenge is to include at least 10 words with the ‘ai’ sound) and photos of your Health and Wellbeing challenges. To continue our virtual tours, we are exploring the Springwatch website. Lots of amazing live streams of birds in their nests, fantastic wildlife pictures and interesting information… so much to learn!

Bloggers of the week Part 2

“At the weekend, on Sunday, we had a BBQ. I had it with my mum and dad. We had burgers, sausages, chicken skewers and drinks. Then me and my dad had a water fight. It was hot in the garden! We all played some golf. Me and my mum tied. On Sunday we went to Balintore beach; it was fun! We dug a hole and I got buried in the sand. Then we went home and played some games.” by Ben

“My weekend. At the weekend we spent the afternoons in the garden because it was so sunny and really warm.  When we were in the garden, we did a skipping contest.  My brother Connor and my mum were winning.  Connor got 28 skips and Mum got 30 skips, then I beat them and got 34!  Then we tried to do hula hoops and we were not very good.  Connor can do it with his neck because he has a long neck.  I tried it too and it feels weird.” by Noah

“My weekend. It was sunny. We went for walks. The girls went in the pool while I was playing on the trampoline. We had a BBQ. We sat around the fire. It was the best weekend ever.” by JJ

“My Weekend in the Sun!This weekend it was pretty sunny. I have done quite a lot in the weekend, but I am going to say what was my favourite part. I’d say the highlight of my weekend would be when I went fishing in Nigg. This was my first time fishing because I never had the right stuff, but my granny and grandad bought me some fishing rods.

Here is some stuff we needed to go fishing;

  • A fishing rod,
  • Line and reel,
  • Hook,
  • Bait,
  • Lures,
  • Net
  • And a bucket to put the fish in.

We did not catch any fish but I have a good feeling about next time. We might try fishing at a loch next time. At my old house we had a cabin and a pond. In the pond we had fish, one was a rainbow fish and the other brown trout.” by John

“ABOUT MY WEEKEND IN THE SUN. At the weekend I was in my pool. In fact pretty much the whole weekend! I had lots of fun. The best part was that the water was so cold that it kept me very cool. Sienna and I were pushing each other in the water. Over the few days we had things like chicken burgers, cheese burgers and hot dogs for our dinner as they were quick and easy and we weren’t that hungry anyway, although we had to drink lots of water and diluting juice to keep us well hydrated.” by Courtney

Bloggers of the week Part 1

Last week we were blown away by the fantastic response to our call for bloggers of the week! Our bloggers of the week were Rio, Kaci, Khalea, Brandon, JJ, Ben, John, Courtney, Noah and Natasha

“My weekend. On my weekend I had a BBQ in my garden and I saw some of my friends for the first time for 10 weeks. It was strange having to social distance, but it was nice to see them. Everyone had to take their own cutlery. It was strange. I was allowed to go down to the jumps in the woods on my bike. On Sunday we went on a walk to the river. My dog loves it! We throw sticks in and she goes and gets them.” by Rio

“I went to Nigg with my mum and dad. We all went in the sea but it was cold. We had a BBQ. Next day we went to Milton beach. We went in and the sea was warm! I camped in my dad’s garden in my own tent, with my dog Glitter. I played with all the toys I got from the school on Thursday. I like the skipping-rope best. Granny blew the biggest bubbles. Mum tried the hula-hoop but I was better.” by Natasha

“My weekend. At the weekend I went in a hot tub. It was weird at first, but I enjoyed it at the end. After we went out of the hot tub, we had another BBQ. We had burgers and sausages. And the next day was just being outside. So that’s what happened on my weekend.” by Kaci

“My weekend. At the weekend I went in a hot tub with my sisters. It was really fun! When I got out of it, we went for a walk. On the walk we saw ducks. When we got back, we went back in the hot tub only for 10 minutes. When we got out again, we got to go to my nana’s for a BBQ. I got a burger and Fanta. When I was at my dad’s I watched stuff on my iPad.” by Khalea

“At the weekend me, mum, dad and Stephanie went for a walk down the woods. We all found a newt, but we didn’t take it home because it might be a baby. Then we went to admire the horses, but we couldn’t go up because of what the sign said. We went to Tarbat beach after. On the way we stopped for a snack. Then we went home and had a rest. The next day we had a little rest and relaxed.” by Brandon
